Gunslinger

Arcade at its best!

The Gunslinger game was made in 2005 as an effort to make parallax scrolling shooters more fun to play. Instead of using keyboard I wanted to use the mouse for better responsiveness of the player ship so it became more agile. This is merely a prototype of a game engine that I offered as open source for people to play with. A lot of people grabbed it and uploaded it to gaming websites which is quite silly to me since this is not even a proper game.

AH Blaffer

Blast em!

This is a corker. I mean c’mon. Back in the days when I was still running a company with Jos Faber we had a notorious member of the Dutch royalty named Bernard van Oranje, playing cowboy all the time. Although apparently he had been involved in many scandalous and corrupt dealings – his way of doing things made a lot of people smile. Once a local grocery store had to deal with some thugs and the store employers bounced the culprits from the store a little too violently for some peoples’ taste so they had to pay a fine. A lot of people found this to be ridiculous including old Bernard so he offered to pay the fine. The media picked up on this and we decided to go viral. In two days we made this game and put it on our website. It was blogged, newspapers wrote about the viral effect and national radio also picked it up. As the player you are Bernard and its your goal to blast thugs from the parking lot. Don’t kill the employers (they’re dressed in red and blue). Oh and if you’re wondering, AH Blaffer stands for ‘Albert Heijn shooter’.

Doeners the Game

Especially for retarded workers

This is a nice little game I made for TechTribe and Achmea, it’s also featured under the projects page. Server communication is disabled so click on ‘oefenen’ to play it.
